Jurgen Klopp has reportedly met with the representatives of Morocco star Sofyan Amrabat – with Liverpool keen to sign the midfielder.
Amrabat is currently representing the Atlas Lions at the 2022 World Cup and he has been a major part of their historic run to the quarter-finals – the first time the African side have ever reached that stage.
He has played every minute in Qatar, including all 120 of their penalty victory over Spain on Tuesday, and the defensive midfielder has been one of the breakout stars of the tournament.

And, according to French outlet Foot Mercato, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp met with Amrabat’s representatives as the Reds look to step up their attempts to sign the 26-year-old.
The Merseyside outfit are in the market for a central midfielder, having gone in for Aurelien Tchouameni in the summer before he moved to Real Madrid.
They are widely reported to be the favourites to sign Jude Bellingham – but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and Naby Keita are all out of contract next summer, while Curtis Jones and Fabinho have struggled for fitness and form this year – meaning the Reds may need to sign more than one midfielder.
Amrabat currently plies his trade for Fiorentina, and the report states that he would be open to leaving the Serie A club in order to achieve his aim of playing in the Champions League.
