Guttenberger Named Third Team All-Atlantic Region


RALEIGH, N.C. – Graduate defender Lulu Guttenberger was named to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women’s All-Atlantic Region Third Team on Tuesday.
 
Guttenberger, who started all 20 games in her final season with the Wolfpack, finished her NC State career playing and starting a program record 95 games. She logged two goals, two assists and six points while anchoring NC State’s backline in 2022.
 
Guttenberger secured a brace in NC State’s 3-3 draw against Miami, scoring two goals in the same game for the third time in her career. The graduate defender needed just 63 seconds to tally the pair of goals.
 
In NC State’s road nonconference opener at Elon, Guttenberger recorded a pair of assists in a 2-1 comeback victory over the Phoenix. Guttenberger delivered a pair of assists off Wolfpack corner kicks, finding Jaiden Thomas and Jenna Butler in the box for the two goals.
 
In total, Guttenberger logged over 8,207 minutes across her standout career. She finished her career with nine goals, 14 assists and 32 points, recording three game-winning strikes in her career. The Wolfpack also advanced to the NCAA Tournament each fall season with Guttenberger on the roster.

Guttenberger finishes her NC State career with two All-Region Third Team honors, previously earning the recognition in 2019.
