Alabama Arrives in Cary Ahead of 2022 NCAA College Cup

CARY, N.C. – The Alabama soccer team arrived in Cary, N.C. Wednesday evening in preparation for its 2022 College Cup tilt with UCLA Friday night. The Crimson Tide and Bruins will kick off the second of two semifinal contests at approximtately 7:30 p.m. CT (8:30 p.m. ET) in WakeMed Soccer Park.

Alabama’s travel day began when the team departed Tuscaloosa at 2 p.m. CT for the 90-minute plane ride to Raleigh. The Tide arrived in Raleigh at 5 p.m. local time and after deplaning, boarded a bus to take them to the stadium which is located just outside the city in Cary. While there, UA loosened up and participated in a light training session that lasted just over an hour. 

The Crimson Tide (23-2-1) and Bruins (20-2-1) will square off Friday night in front of what will be a sold out WakeMed stadium that seats 10,000 fans. The winner of that contest will take on the winner of the first semifinal that pits Florida State (17-2-3) taking on North Carolina (19-4-1) in the national title game Monday night.
