Six Cougars Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

PULLMAN, Wash. – Six student-athletes from the Washington State soccer team were named to the 2022 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday. Khalia Gathright, Elaily Hernandez-Repreza, Grayson Lynch, Bridget Rieken, Sydney Studer, and Marin Whieldon were named to the CSC All-District First Team.

The 2022 Academic All-District Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Nominated student-athletes must have participated in at least half of the school’s scheduled competitions and maintain a 3.50 GPA.

The Cougars six honorees is the most in program history, as the organization shifted from a voting ballot to an automatic recognition of any student-athletes averaging a 3.50 or better, with at least one year of experience at the institution.

Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.
