Cristiano Ronaldo branded ‘deluded’ following tell-all interview with Piers Morgan

Manchester United are exploring ways to terminate Cristiano Ronaldo's contract following his explosive tell-all interview with Piers Morgan on Sunday, Sportsmail can reveal

Cristiano Ronaldo has been labelled as ‘deluded’ and ‘not a particularly nice person’ following the first part of his tell-all interview with Piers Morgan

Broadcast on Talk TV on Wednesday night, many were glued to the interview as Ronaldo ripped into Manchester United‘s lack of progress, the poor mentality of the club’s youngsters and why he dismisses criticism from former team-mates.

One of those watching on was talkSPORT pundit and former Chelsea and Tottenham defender Jason Cundy.

He claimed the interview was ‘far worse’ than he anticipated and it showed Ronaldo’s ‘unbelievable lack of self-awareness’.

‘I don’t quite get the end game with all this,’ Cundy said after the interview aired.

Ronaldo, sat comfortably in a plain white t-shirt and dark brown blazer, barely furrowed his brow as he continued to lament various issues at United since he returned in 2021.

Cundy was totally bemused by what he saw as an ‘incredibly staged’ exchange between Ronaldo and Morgan.

One of the most contentious points to come out of part one of the interview was Ronaldo accusing young players at the club of ‘not caring’ as they lack the ‘hunger’ of his generation.

‘They listen but this is why we have two ears, as you listen from one side and they go away from another side,’ Ronaldo said.
