Six Named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Honorees


TUCSON – Six members of the Arizona soccer team have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, as announced by the organization on Tuesday. Quincy Bonds, Gianna Christiansen, Nicole Dallin, Jordan Hall, Hope Hisey and Iliana Hocking garnered the honor.

To be named to the All-District Team, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and must have competed in at least 50% of their team’s competitions during the year. They must have additionally completed at least one full calendar year at their current institution. 

Bonds holds a GPA of 3.87 in broadcast journalism. She made appearances in 15 matches throughout the season. She completed the 2022 season with five shots. Bonds played in 17 of Arizona’s 18 matches as a sophomore and competed in all 15 competitions as a freshman. She made nine starts in her freshman season. 

Christiansen is in Pre-Business and currently has a 3.57 GPA. The Laguna Hills, Calif., native started 13 of the 15 matches she appeared in and scored her first career goal against Utah. She additionally recorded an assist on the game-winning goal against then-No. 8 USC to bring her point total on the season to three.

Dallin, a Political Science major, maintains a GPA of 3.606. She led the Wildcats squad in goals in 2022 with five to tally 10 points on the season. Dallin posted a brace to help lift the Wildcats past Oregon State and took 38 shots over the course of of the season. In total, she scored three-game winners in 2022.

Hall holds a 3.67 GPA in Psychology. The Dacula, Ga., native made 10 starts in 15 matches and was second on the team in goals in 2022 with four. She totaled 10 points on the season with a pair of assists against Oregon State. Twelve of her 22 shots in shots were on goal.

Hisey, a 2022 Third Team All-Pac-12 selection, maintains a 4.0 in political science. She ranks second in program history in career shutouts with 20. Hisey was named Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week three times over the course of the season and ranked in the top five in the Pac-12 in 2022 in saves and shutouts.

Hocking’s degree in Physiology and Medical Sciences sees her with a GPA of 3.83. She ranks second in program history in career games played at 84 matches. Hocking scored one of the Wildcats’ three goals against Oregon State. She is a three-time Pac-12…
