Virginia Women's Soccer | No. 3 Seed Virginia Opens NCAA Play With FDU Saturday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 3 seeded Virginia women’s soccer team (13-3-3) opens play in the NCAA Tournament on Saturday night (Nov. 12) when the Cavaliers take on Fairleigh Dickinson (8-10-3) at Klöckner Stadium. Kick is set for 6 p.m.

TICKETS AVAILABLE
Tickets are $12 for reserved seats (if available) and $8 for general admission tickets. Student tickets are available for $5. Parking passes for the JPJ West and South lots are $5 and can be purchased in advance online or at the lots on game day.

• Spaanstra is tied for third in total assists among active NCAA D1 players (34).
• Cayla White has eight solo shutouts this year and needs one more to tie for ninth all-time at UVA in season shutouts. Her 10 career shutouts is tied for ninth all-time and one shy of seventh at UVA.
• Hopkins leads the Hoos with 11 goals this season and is third among active NCAA D1 players in career goals scored with 53 goals and 131 points to date. She is fourth in goals per game (2.10).
• Maggie Cagle leads UVA with nine assists and is 22nd nationally in assists per game (0.47) and third in the ACC.
• As a team, Virginia in the top 20 nationally in scoring offense (13th – 2.37 gpg), total goals (12th – 45) and total points (17th – 128). UVA is top three in the ACC in all three categories.
