COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State has earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament and is set to host Bucknell in the opening round on Friday evening at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The match will kick at 6 p.m. and it will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for students and groups. They will be available at the gate or online via Ticketmaster starting at 10 a.m. Thursday.

  • This is Ohio State’s 16th NCAA Tournament appearance and the seventh appearance in the last eight seasons.
  • The Buckeyes are 13-14-2 all-time in the NCAA Tournament and have reached one College Cup in 2010.
  • Ohio State is hosting an NCAA Tournament match for the 13th time. The Buckeyes are 7-3-2 in their previous 12 home NCAA matches.
  • This will be the second meeting all-time between Ohio State and Bucknell. The only other meeting was also in Columbus, a 2-0 Ohio State victory on Sept. 13, 2015. Bridget Skinner headed-home a pass from Nikki Walts in the 21st minute and Sarah Roberts had a great strike from 25 yards out off a pass from Sammy Edwards in the 50th minute.
  • The last two weeks of the season weren’t what the Buckeyes were looking for but an NCAA Tournament selection and a home tournament game has refocused the team.
  • The Buckeyes were fourth in the Big Ten during the regular season, marking the 10th time in program history that the Buckeyes have posted a Top 4 finish in conference play.
  • Bucknell beat Army in PKs last Sunday to win the Patriot League title for the second consecutive season. The Bison are 8-5-6 on the season and have not lost since the calendar turned to October. Bucknell 3-0-5 since October 1 and has drawn in each of its last four matches. The Bison have only surrendered two goals in their last eight matches.
  • The Buckeyes are led up front by their talented forwards. Emma Sears has a team-high 21 points as she’s tied for the team-lead in goals (8) and assists (5). Kayla Fischer has matched Sears with the eight goals while Kailyn Dudukovich has tied her career-high with seven goals.
