Man Utd ‘want to sign’ Newcastle ‘sensation’ as Ten Hag ‘likes him a lot’ but player is ‘ideal’ for Arsenal

Man Utd-linked Almiron

Man Utd and Arsenal are reportedly among three clubs who ‘want to sign’ Newcastle United ‘sensation’ Miguel Almiron in the coming months.

Almiron was mocked on a regular basis during the first few years at Newcastle United.

The Paraguay international often lacked a final product as it seemed inevitable that his time at the Magpies would prove to be a failure.

He was even infamously joked about by Jack Grealish last season, but he has moved to silence his doubters this term.

The winger has already surpassed his goal tally from previous campaigns this time around by netting eight goals in just 14 Premier League games. This is helped by him scoring in four straight games in the table.

Erik ten Hag is understood to ‘like Almiron a lot’ due to the pace the Newcastle star has at his disposal.

Arsenal meanwhile were in the market for a new winger in the summer, with Raphinha, Pedro Neto and Yeremi Pino among the players they looked at.

“I am very proud of Miguel. He made his debut with us in the first team. I already knew that he was going to go far because he is a boy who was committed, worked day by day,” Guiza told VERSUS (via Sport Witness).

“We shared many chats. Apart from the footballers who slept with us in the room, we chatted with him and tried to give him good advice. He is one of the young people who wanted to learn. It is clear they ask you everything. In life to be able to achieve success, it’s the job and Miguel had it since I met him.”

Guiza added: “Let him triumph there, he feels loved by the fans and he is very…
