Columbus Crew Hires Justin Younghans as Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Activation

COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew today announced the hiring of Justin Younghans [pronounced: young hands] as the new Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Activation. In his new role, Younghans now leads the partnerships team responsible for sales, account management, activation and commercial media for the Club. Younghans joins the Crew with more than a dozen years of experience in the National Football League and most recently served as Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the Washington Commanders.


“We’re excited to welcome Justin to the Crew to lead our partnerships team as he will play a critical role in linking our Club with the business community,” said Columbus Crew President of Business Operations Kristin Bernert. “Justin’s energy, experience, and strategic approach will allow us to elevate and drive value with our corporate partnerships.”

While with the Commanders, where he spent eight total seasons, Younghans was highly successful in driving new ticketing and sponsorship revenue. He led their team in new business revenue and additionally negotiated and completed the team’s largest radio rights deal in its 90-year history. Younghans also has experience with the Jacksonville Jaguars, spending five years with the team as the Director of Corporate Partnerships from 2015-2020. While with the Jaguars, Younghans and team went from 31st to 19th in new sponsorship revenue.

Originally from Roxbury, New Jersey, Younghans received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from George Mason University.
