Washington Returns Home To Face UCLA

SEATTLE – No. 1 Washington returns to Husky Soccer Stadium to begin a three match homestand to close out the regular season as the Huskies host UCLA on Thursday night at 8 p.m. and airing on Pac-12 Network.
 
THE LAST TIME OUT
The Huskies (13-0-3, 5-0-2 Pac-12) continued its undefeated season in a 3-3 draw at No. 5 Stanford. The Huskies are off to one of the best starts in program history setting a record with a 16-match unbeaten streak to start the season.
 
PAC-12 TITLE ON THE LINE
Washington (17 points) largely controls its Pac-12 title destiny as a victory over final three matches will secure the program’s fourth-ever Conference crown (2000, 2013, 2019).
 
The Huskies could also clinch the title Thursday via a draw against UCLA (10p, three matches left) coupled with an Oregon State (10p, three matches left) draw or loss versus San Diego State. Any dropped points by Oregon State or UCLA over their final three matches would also allow Washington to clinch at least a share of the title.
 
UW-UCLA HISTORY
UCLA leads the all-time series 32-23-3 over the Huskies. Washington has won the last eight meetings dating back to 10/25/18.
 
Earlier this season, Washington traveled to Los Angeles and came away with a 1-0 victory over the Bruins. Nick Scardina hit the game-winner in the 44^th minute.
 
SCOUTING THE BRUINS
UCLA sits at 9-5-1 on the season with a 3-3-1 mark in conference play. The Bruins are coming off their final nonconference game of the season at Rutgers which saw UCLA win 1-0.
 
Four Bruins lead the team with three goals on the year (Jose Contell, Kevin Diaz, Riley Ferch and Constantinos Michaelides). Tommy Silva leads the team with seven assists and nine points.
 
HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
Since 1997, the Huskies have posted a 176-60-19 overall record at Husky Soccer Stadium, winning at least eight matches in 13 seasons including a 10-1-2 mark in 2013.
 
Earlier this season the Huskies set a new program record for single-game attendance when 3,876 people came to see Washington take on Seattle U.
