Neville predicts where Man Utd will finish this season after Liverpool, Chelsea falter

Man Utd legend Gary Neville smiles

Gary Neville has predicted where Man Utd will finish as he admits they have “weakers players” than Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham.

Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game as the Red Devils beat West Ham 1-0 on Sunday to keep the pressure on the top four sides.

Man Utd are now fifth in the table, one point behind fourth-placed Newcastle United and eight points adrift of Premier League leaders Arsenal.

And Neville thinks Man Utd now have a “great chance” of making the top four after Chelsea lost 4-1 to Brighton and Liverpool continued their disastrous start to the season with a 2-1 loss at home to Leeds.

When asked if Rashford was now ready to become an elite striker, Ten Hag said: “I think he is already. Before you’re 25, to score 100 goals, I think you’re already there, but he won’t be satisfied with that.

“In the end it’s about how many trophies you win with your club and I think he can develop his game even more.”

And Ten Hag was delighted to see Rashford already taking his advice into matches, the Man Utd boss added: “When you see he made two headers (in the game) for instance and we have worked a lot on that.

“I notified him from the start, his heading had to improve and he worked on that and you can see what’s happening.

“Also mentally, he’s much more consistent and reliable and resilient. I’m…
