Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has offered an update on the fitness of star striker Erling Haaland.
Haaland missed City’s 1-0 win at Leicester City on Saturday in the Premier League having picked up a knock in the side’s midweek 0-0 draw at Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League.
Guardiola revealed the Norwegian also had fever in the lead-up to the game, hence the decision as City clinched their progress in the Champions League.
When asked about Haaland’s return, Guardiola said: “I am pretty sure against Sevilla (Wednesday), no. We have already qualified.
“And against Fulham we will see. We have six days, I think so, seven days until that day. We will see.”
Haaland has been a revelation since joining City in the off-season, netting 17 Premier League goals from 11 appearances.
The 22-year-old has 22 goals in all competitions from 16 appearances for City.
Haaland joined City from Dortmund in the off-season on a five-year deal having been pursued by several top clubs.
