COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 13 Ohio State (9-1-5, 4-1-2) conclude the 2022 Big Ten regular season at Wisconsin (5-6-3, 2-4-1) Sunday at the McClimon Soccer Complex in Madison. First touch is scheduled for 1 p.m. with B1G+ carrying the live stream.

  • The Buckeyes finished 7-0-2 at home. Ohio State was 8-0-1 in 2010 and 4-0-1 in 1974 and 4-0-0 in both 1965 and 1967 to mark the only other undefeated home seasons in Ohio State history. The seven home wins this year are the most since a 10-2-2 record at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in 2015.
  • Ohio State enters the final weekend of the regular season at 9-1-5 overall, the most wins since the 2015 team posted a 13-7-3 overall record. The Buckeyes have won 10 or more games in a season 19 times previously.
  • Ohio State’s regular-season record is the best in program history date. The Buckeyes best regular-season record to date in terms of total losses was the 7-2-0 record posted by the 1967 Buckeyes. The 2022 record of 9-1-5 also is the best in the Big Ten era (1991-present). Previously, the 2007 teams had the fewest losses in a season at 17-4-5.
  • Seniors Keagan McLaughlin (keeper), midfielders Chris Dowling and Xavier Green along with forward Devyn Etling were recognized during pregame ceremonies vs. Michigan State the last time out.
  • Dowling has played in 25 matches for the Buckeyes with two goals and three assists. Etling owns 59 career appearances with 14 goals and two assists. Green is a veteran of 74 Ohio State matches with nine scores and six assists. McLaughlin is in his second year at Ohio State with 20 appearances and six shutouts.
  • A pair of Ohio State freshmen were selected to the 2022 Midseason TopDrawerSoccer Top 100 list. Luciano Pechota is ranked No. 17 nationally while Marko Borkovic is ranked 58th. Pechota has two goals, both game winners, to go with three assists. Borkovic has three goals, two game winners, and one assist.
  • Junior Laurence Wootton also found his way on to a TopDrawerSoccer Top 100 list, the Top 100 players nationally at midseason. He is rated No. 9 overall with a team-leading four goals. He also leads in points with 10.
