Virginia Women's Soccer | No. 8 Virginia Hosts NC State For Senior Day

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 8 Virginia women’s soccer team (11-2-3, 4-2-2 ACC) closes out the regular-season home schedule on Sunday (Oct. 23) when the Cavaliers host NC State (7-6-4, 2-5-1 ACC) in a 2 p.m. contest at Klöckner Stadium.

CAVALIERS SET TO HONOR SEVEN SENIORS
It will be “Senior Day” on Sunday afternoon and the Cavaliers will recognize a group of seven players in ceremonies prior to kick. Virginia will honor forwards Jansen Eichenlaub, Haley Hopkins, Rebecca Jarrett and Alexa Spaanstra, defenders Sarah Clark and Claire Constant, and goalkeeper Michaela Moran.

Sunday afternoon’s contest against NC State will be streamed on ACCNX which is available through the ESPN app and at WatchESPN.com for customers who have the ACC Network as part of their television subscription. Live stats are also available and links to both the live stream and broadcast are available at VirginiaSports.com. TICKETS AVAILABLE
Tickets are available for Sunday afternoon’s game and fans can purchase single-game tickets in advance online at UVATix.com. Reserved seats purchased in advance are $12 and general admission tickets are $8. UVA athletics strongly encourages fans to avoid lines on game day and purchase their tickets online in advance. Single game tickets will be $15 at the gate on game day for reserved seats if available and $10 for general admission seats. Group packages for parties of 20 or more are $6 and are available for purchase over the phone in advance only.

QUICK KICKS
• Virginia is No. 8 in the coaches poll and in the top 10 in the polls for the ninth week this season.
• UVA is No. 9 in the latest RPI and was sixth in the inaugural DI selection committee rankings. There are currently six teams from the ACC in the top 10 as released by the committee.
• Sunday afternoon’s game will be the final home game of the regular season for the Cavaliers who go on the road next week for the regular-season finale at Miami.
• Maggie Cagle continues to deliver for the Hoos in her freshman campaign after hitting the game-winning goal against Wake Forest. Cagle now has seven assists and three goals (two game winners).
