The Buckeyes face Michigan State at home Oct. 25 (6 p.m./BTN) before ending the season at Wisconsin Oct. 30 (1 p.m./B1G+). The game vs. the Spartans will be Senior Night in Columbus.

How it Happened

Neither team was able to put together much of an offensive attack until late in the first half when the Nittany Lions netted the first score of the game in the 44th minute. Liam Butts scored for Penn State to send PSU into the halftime lockerroom leading 1-0.

Ohio State evened the match in the 53rd minute on a Tanner Creech header from a Parker Grinstead feed. It was the first career goal for Creech and Grinstead’s first assist of the year and fourth of his career.

Penn State played the last seven minutes a man down but held the Buckeyes at bay for the draw.

  • Tanner Crecch is the 13th Buckeye to score at least one goal this season and the fourth freshman to find the back of the net.

  • Keeper Keagan McLaughlin made the CollegeSoccerNews Team of the Week (Oct. 16) after leading the Buckeyes to a pair of wins at Michigan (3-1) and at home vs Northwestern (2-1).
