Cal Ties OSU, Falls At UW
Cal hit the road to play at Oregon State and at No. 1 Washington in its last two games. On Oct. 6 in Corvallis, Oregon, Cal trailed after OSU’s Dante Williams scored in the ninth minute. Fahmi Ibrahim equalized in the 53rd minute with his team-leading fifth goal of the year. Ibrahim was red carded in the 71st minute, and the 10-man Bears – with goalkeeper Collin Travasos making four saves – held on to the 1-1 tie.

Against the top-ranked Huskies on Oct. 9 in Seattle, Cal freshman goalkeeper Marco Brougher played the full 90 minutes in the first start of his career. He made three saves, and the Bears kept the game at 0-0 most of the way. But UW’s Gio Miglietti scored the game’s lone goal in the 75th minute, as the Huskies edged the Bears.
