COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 15 Ohio State (7-1-4, 1-1-1) scored twice in just over a minute in the second half to knock off Michigan (3-7-3, 1-4-1) 3-1 Tuesday at the U-M Soccer Complex in Ann Arbor. Ohio State improved to 22-13-2 all-time against the Wolverines.
How it Happened
Keagan McLaughlin came up with a big save in the 6th minute and shortly thereafter, sophomore Joakim Jahnsen gave the Buckeyes the lead in the 18th minute when he found himself open at the top of the box and buried it in the back of the net low on the right for the first score of the game.
It was the first goal of the season for Jahnsen and the second of his career.

The Wolverines netted the equalizer off a corner in the 57th minute when Nickolas Kaloukian headed one in off a corner from Bryce Blevins.
Laurence Wootton, who did not start with an illness, made his presence felt in the second half with his fourth goal of the season and his 11th career score to put Ohio State up 2-1 in the 76th minute. Freshman Luciano Pechota served it up for the assist.

Just 1:14 later, Parker Grinstead scored unassisted in the 77th minute for the two-goal lead. The score was his second of the year and fifth career.

- Reed Davis, a transfer from Jacksonville, appeared for the first time this season after missing the first part of the season with injury.
- The win was the first for the Buckeyes at Michigan since a 1-0 double over time victory in 2016. The Buckeyes are 6-7-1 all time at the U-M Soccer Complex.
