COLUMBUS, Ohio – As the regular season heads into the final two weeks, the Buckeyes return home and will host three of the final four matches at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The first of which is Thursday evening against Maryland. First touch is set for 7 p.m.

Prior to the match, Ohio State will recognize all breast cancer survivors on the track. Join the program as it celebrates the strength and courage to battle and concur this disease that does not discriminate. All staff, spouses, and significant others are welcome to attend. The recognition will start at 6:45 p.m. on the track.

Admission and parking are free for all Ohio State women’s soccer home matches.

  • The Buckeyes have dominated the all-time series with Maryland as they are undefeated in the 10 previous meetings. Ohio State is 8-0-2 and have won the last four meetings.
  • In last season’s meeting in College Park, Christin Baumbick scored her first collegiate goal just before halftime and then Kailyn Dudukovich netted the game-winner just before the final gun in a 2-1 victory.
  • In the most recent meeting in Columbus, the Buckeyes scored four unanswered goals in a 4-2 win in the regional weekend round of the Big Ten Tournament on April 8, 2021. Peyton McNamara scored a pair of goals and Kayla Fischer added a goal and an assist.
  • McNamara also had a pair of goals in the regular season meeting in the spring of 2021, giving her four career goals against the Terrapins.
  • Ohio State is in the rankings for the second consecutive week, checking in at No. 20 this week.
  • Maryland opened Big Ten play with a 1-0 win over Michigan but has since lost five consecutive matches and has been outscored 12-3 in those matches. The Terrapins are also the second-lowest scoring team in the Big Ten, having scored just 11 goals in 13 matches.
  • Fischer has scored a goal in each of the last three games and is now tied for 11th in program history with 24 career goals. This is the third time in her career in which she has scored at least one goal in three consecutive games.
  • Emma Sears also had a goal and an assist in the game at Nebraska last weekend and leads the team with six goals and 15 points. The six goals match her total from last season and is one-off her…
