October 11, 2022 – United Soccer League Championship (USL)Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC News Release

Colorado Springs, CO – The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and the USL Championship officially announced today that Michee Ngalina has been named Player of the Week for Week 31 of the 2022 season, presented by Konami eFootball.

Michee Ngalina had an absolutely stellar performance in El Paso during the Switchbacks Wednesday night contest against the Locomotive. With a final score of 4-1, Ngalina earned his first hat trick of his professional career and notched an assist on the fourth goal – contributing in a huge way to all four goals scored by the Switchbacks.

The Switchbacks have had a player on the team or on the bench for Team of the Week for 13 of the 31 weeks completed so far in the 2022 campaign. This is the first Switchbacks player to earn Player of the Week honors in the 2022 season.

The Switchbacks are now 17-12-4 in the league, and have locked in the no.3 slot in the Western Conference, guaranteeing a minimum of one home playoff match for the 2022 playoff season. The team has one more game in the regular season, as they head to New Mexico on Saturday to take on New Mexico United in their final contest for 2022.
