Tech falls 2-0 to North Carolina


CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Virginia Tech dropped Friday night’s road match against North Carolina, 2-0.
 
After a 22-minute spell to begin the match, which included Misei Yoshizawa recording the first shot on goal, North Carolina scored its first goal of the evening in the 23rd minute. 
 
The two sides went into the break fairly even in shots with the Tar Heels holding a 6-4 edge.
 
In the second half, North Carolina added 11 shots with seven on target, although only one found the back of the net.
 
 
NOTES
Ben Martino had a season-high seven saves.
