EVANSTON, — Northwestern notched a 2-1 win against Wisconsin Friday (Oct. 7) at home at Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium to take sole possession of first place in the Big Ten.

Northwestern improved to 11-1-2 overall and 5-0-1 in Big Ten play after the win.

How it Happened

Northwestern started the scoring when Meg Boade scored her fifth goal of the season in the 6th minute.

The Wildcats scored again on a goal from Aurea del Carmen — her fifth goal of the season — in the 69th minute, assisted by Josie Aulicino.

Wisconsin got on the scoreboard to make it a 2-1 game on Rylee Howard’s 74th-minute goal. Neither team scored again in the game.
