SERIES HISTORY (NC State leads 9-7-4)

Tuesday marks the 21st overall meeting between NC State and Boston College. The teams have played each other at least once every season since their first meeting in October 2004.

NC State and Boston College faced off in the season finale of each of the last two seasons.

The Wolfpack beat the Eagles 1-0 in last year’s Oct. 29 matchup in Raleigh. Luke Hille secured the 1-0 win for NC State in the 108th minute off an assist from fellow rookie Noe Cabezas. It was the team’s only conference win of the 2021 campaign.

The Pack remains unbeaten in its last four matches against the Eagles. NC State also won the 2018 and 2019 regular-season matchups between the squads, and the teams tied in 2020-21.

NC State is seeking its first-ever road victory against Boston College. Headed into Friday’s match, the Wolfpack is 0-5-3 when playing on the Eagles’ home field.

LAST TIME OUT

NC State scored its goals 10 minutes apart in Tuesday night’s midweek win against High Point. Will Buete (42′) and Calem Tommy (52′) were the two goal scorers for the Wolfpack as NC State handed High Point its first loss since Sept. 6.

Buete tallied the first goal of his Wolfpack career from the penalty stripe. Junior Nare was taken down inside the box to generate the attempt, and Buete converted with a low ball to the bottom right corner. The team’s second goal came off a free kick from nearly midfield that Kendall Edwards settled four yards out to keep the play alive. Pablo Pedregosa got the initial shot off, one that went off the right post, and Calem Tommy put it away on the rebound for his second score of the season.
