Hamill Named PNC Achievers Student-Athlete of the Week

DURHAM – Duke men’s soccer graduate goalkeeper Eliot Hamill has been named Duke’s PNC Achievers Student-Athlete of the Week, following his season-high seven save performance in Duke’s 3-2 victory at No. 1 Wake Forest Saturday.

Hamill’s efforts included five saves in the second 45 minutes of play, including a sprawling save with less than a minute remaining in the match. Hamill has played all 810 minutes available in 2022, and now has 33 saves on the season. He currently holds career-bests in save percentage (.868), goals against average (.56) and goals allowed (5).

The Blue Devils are back in action on Oct. 4 when they host Howard at Koskinen Stadium. First touch is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be broadcasted live on ACCNX.

PNC Achievers is a student honors platform that is active at nearly 20 schools and universities across PNC Bank’s service area. Honorees are selected locally by designated panels at each respective school, using a set of criteria that includes athletic accomplishments, academic achievement, community service and student leadership.
