Brighton star impressed by ‘intense’ De Zerbi as Romano hints at Chelsea move

Trossard speaks on Brighton

Leandro Trossard has been impressed by Roberto De Zerbi amid unsurprising suggestions that Chelsea boss Graham Potter is a “big fan” of the Brighton star.

De Zerbi was the man chosen to replace Potter at Brighton after the Englishman took over at Chelsea last month.

The Seagulls travelled to Anfield to face Liverpool in De Zerbi’s first game in charge of the Premier League club.

They performed brilliantly and Trossard was at the forefront of their success as he netted a hat-trick. Brighton eventually earned a respectable point in a 3-3 draw.

Trossard is confident that Brighton “will have a good future” under De Zerbi:

“I’m sure that in 2023 there will be lot of interest around Trossard as he’s doing fantastic. His superb hat-trick away to Liverpool yesterday is sure to see him attract even more headlines as he’s really showing what he can do on the biggest stage.

“Potter is a big fan of Trossard, of course; but at the moment there’s nothing going on with Chelsea.

“Of course, I know there are plenty of…
