Toronto, ON – – The following are playoff clinch/elimination scenarios for Match Week 26 in the Canadian Premier League, to be played from Friday, Sept. 30 to Sunday, Oct. 2:

Clinch Scenarios for Match Week 26

Pacific FC will clinch a CPL playoff berth with a win over FC Edmonton on Friday, Sept. 30 at Starlight Stadium AND a Valour FC loss or tie against Cavalry FC on Sunday, Sept. 2 at ATCO Field.

Pacific FC can also clinch a CPL playoff berth with a tie against Edmonton on Friday, Sept. 30 at Starlight Stadium, IF Valour FC loses to Cavalry FC on Sunday, Sept. 2 at ATCO Field.

Forge FC will clinch a CPL playoff berth with a win over York United FC on Saturday, Oct. 1 at Tim Hortons Field OR if Valour FC lose or tie against Cavalry FC on Sunday, Oct. 2 at ATCO Field.

Cavalry FC will clinch a CPL playoff berth with a win or tie against Valour FC on Sunday, Oct. 2 at ATCO Field.

Elimination Scenarios for Match Week 26

Valour FC will be eliminated from playoff contention with a draw to Cavalry FC on Sunday, Oct. 2 at ATCO Field, IF Pacific FC wins over FC Edmonton on Friday, Sept. 30 at Starlight Stadium.

Valour FC can also be eliminated from playoff contention with a loss against Cavalry FC on Sunday, Oct. 2 at ATCO Field, IF Pacific FC wins or ties against FC Edmonton on Friday, Sept. 30 at Starlight Stadium.

FC Edmonton was eliminated from playoff contention on Aug. 21. HFX Wanderers and York United were eliminated from playoff contention on Sept. 27.

The top four teams at the end of the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 9 will advance to the 2022 CPL playoffs. The first-place team will take on the fourth-place team and the second-place team will face the third-place team in a two-leg semifinal round. The higher seed hosts the second leg of the semifinal.

The final will be a one-match knockout game, hosted by the highest-seeded team remaining.
