New England Revolution Academy Highlights: June 6, 2022

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – All four Academy teams continued their MLS NEXT fall seasons over the weekend, hosting four matches on Saturday before traveling to Providence College visit Seacoast United on Sunday.


The U-19s posted two clean sheets with Kevin Christensen (2006 – Natick, Mass.) in net for the 2-0 victory over Intercontinental FA and Ryan Carney (2006 – Dunstable, Mass.) in goal for a 1-0 win over Seacoast United. Jack Burkhardt (2005 – Sutton, Mass.) and Alexander St. John (2005 – Needham, Mass.) each scored on Saturday as Ezra Widman (2005 – New York, N.Y.) notched his first goal and the game-winner on Sunday.

The U-17s extended their win streak to four this weekend, defeating CF Montreal 5-1, and Seacoast United 3-1. Saturday’s goal scorers included Olger Escobar (2006 – Lynn, Mass.), Darwin Lopez (2006 – Palmdale. Calif.), Eric Klein (2006 – Manheim, Penn.), Peyton Miller (2007 – Unionville, Conn.), and Raphael Alves (2007 – Framingham, Mass.). Miller tallied his team-leading third goal of the season on Sunday alongside Eric Martinez (2006 – Perris, Calif.) and Justin Lucien-Keise (2007 – Neptune, N.J.).

The U-15s secured a 1-0 win over CF Montreal on Saturday with Cristiano Carlos (2008 – Chicopee, Mass.) scoring the game-winner. Mesud Ramic (2008 – Weare, N.H.) and Grant Emerhi (2008 – Mansfield, Mass.) both tallied on Sunday to earn a point in a draw with Seacoast United.

The U-14s rounded out the weekend, earning two wins with Luke Nuspl (2009 – Wayland, Mass.) scoring the game-winner over NEFC on Saturday while Brian Brooks (2009 – Waltham, Mass.) notched the game-winner vs. Seacoast United. Judah Siqueira (2009 – South Easton, Mass.) recorded two more goals on Sunday, extending his team-lead in goals scored to five in just four games played.

The U-14s and U-19s are back in action this weekend as they travel to face FC Boston Bolts on Friday. The U-19s will then host Cedar Stars Academy – Bergen on Sunday.
