Memphis 901 FC Acquire Dylan Borczak Via Transfer

EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley FC Toros announced today the full transfer of forward Dylan Borczak to USL Championship side, Memphis 901 FC, for an undisclosed fee, pending league and federation approval.


Borczak (5-foot-10, bor-zak) signed his first professional contract March 2, 2022, joining USL Championship side Rio Grande Valley FC after concluding his college career at NCAA Division I program Oakland University last fall.

The Detroit native started in nine-of-twenty-one matches played with RGV FC in the current USL Championship season, scoring twice. He added two Lamar Hunt U.S Open Cup starts to his resume as Rio Grande Valley made their historic pair of appearances in the oldest tournament in North America, one of which was against Major League Soccer’s Houston Dynamo FC in the 2-1 loss which knocked RGV FC out of the tournament in the third round.

Collegiately, Borczak recorded 20 goals and 15 assists in 63 appearances for the for the Golden Grizzlies, and was voted the 2020-21 Horizon League Offensive Player of the Year as he recorded seven goals and four assists in nine contests. His play also saw him named to the All-Horizon League First Team and the United Soccer Coaches All-North Region First Team that season, while he also notched seven goals and two assists last fall to earn All-Horizon League Second Team honors.
