Ian Wright has singled out one West Ham player for criticism after their defeat to Everton but claims David Moyes has bigger fish to fry.
Neal Maupay’s goal was enough to secure victory for the Toffees on Sunday and leaves the Hammers in the relegation zone with just one win from their opening seven games of the season.

Thilo Kehrer, the summer signing from Paris Saint-Germain, looked comfortable for the most part at Goodison Park, but Wright claimed he should have done more to stop Maupay.
Wright said on Match of the Day: “Look at Kehrer here. Once this ball comes in because he’s fizzed it into him, at some stage he’s got to go and engage that. When you look from this angle, he’s got to be coming in. He stops. Look at the goal.
“It’s a great finish because you’ve got to hit the target but you’re not meant to get that much time. You’ve got to give him credit for it because he has taken advantage of it but David Moyes seeing that he can’t be happy with his defender stopping, putting his arms behind himself then not going and challenging.”
But Wright believes it’s West Ham’s lack of attacking fluidity that’s really costing them at the moment.
“They’ve only got two goals [from open play],” Wright added. “That’s what they need, they need some fluidity up front because you look at it today and he started with Michail Antonio, [Maxwel] Cornet came on, looked pretty dangerous, but at the same time, they don’t seem to have that fluidity.
“David Moyes said there was a couple of opportunities where they thought they could have done better but it’s just not quite working out for them. When you look at what they had, it was like 36 points from 34 Premier League games, that’s just not good form for West Ham, so they need to sort that out sooner rather than later.”
Alan Shearer echoed Wright’s thoughts and reckons it’s vital Moyes finds the right combination soon.
“He’s got to find that right combination, that’s what he’s searching for, that’s what he’s looking for because there isn’t one that has actually worked yet,” explained Shearer.
“Once he finds that combination, we know what he will be doing in the international week on their days off, they’ll be in and they’ll be trying to find the correct formation. Once he finds that, he’s going to have to stick to it.”
