Red Bulls Finish Homestand with Saturday Night Matchup with New England Revolution

Red Bulls Battle Charlotte FC in Nationally Televised Match on Saturday Afternoon

HARRISON, N.J. -The New York Red Bulls (13-9-8, 47 pts.) will finish their current homestand with a matchup against New England Revolution (9-9-11, 38 pts.) on Saturday, September 10 at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG, MSG GO, and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.


Coverage on MSG begins at 5:30 p.m. ET with the Red Bulls Pregame show. Steve Cangialosi will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Shep Messing and Michelle Gingras.

New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 5 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Stefano Fusaro will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET.

This will be the 81st overall regular season meeting between New York and New England with the Revolution holding the advantage in the series with a 34-29-17 mark. The Red Bulls have posted a 22-9-9 record against New England Revolution at Red Bull Arena. The Revolution are currently in seventh place of the Eastern Conference and are unbeaten in their last two MLS matches, which includes a 3-0 win against New York City FC.

The New York have posted a 3-1-1 mark against the Revolution in their last five matches at Red Bull Arena. The Red Bulls defense has only allowed 36 goals in MLS this season, which is the fifth lowest in MLS. New York ranks first in MLS in duels won (1,728), aerial duels won (570), possession won (1,834), and tackles won (337).

Defender Andres Reyes made his return from injury on July 9 at FC Cincinnati and has made eight appearances and five starts since then. Reyes has scored two goals against the New England Revolution in his career, including his first professional goal on May 8, 2021.

Following Saturday’s match, the Red Bulls will travel to Yankee Stadium for the third New York Derby of 2022, when they face New York City FC on Saturday, September 17.
