Juan Mata is discussing the final details of a move to Galatasaray after reportedly agreeing personal terms.

The 34-year old is a free agent after leaving Manchester United in the summer when his contract expired, following an eight-year spell at Old Trafford.

Mata featured in 285 matches during his time at Old Trafford, scoring 51 and assisting 47 under managers David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Michael Carrick and Ralf Rangnick.

During his time with the Red Devils, the 2010 World Cup winner also claimed an FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League trophy. 

Mata has been weighing up a number of different offers including ones from the Premier League, Spain and the MLS.

The Spanish attacking midfielder has always expressed a desire to experience a different culture with his next career move and is ready to try life in Turkey with Galatasaray.

Gala finished 13th last season, marking the club’s lowest league finish since the introduction of the Super Lig in 1959.
