Spots Still Open for Sunday’s Sounders FC and RAVE Foundation 2022 Annual Rave Green Run

SEATTLE, WASH. – There are still spots available for Sounders FC and RAVE Foundation’s 2022 Annual Rave Green Run, a 5K race presented by Virginia Mason Franciscan Health that will take place this Sunday, September 11 at 10:00 a.m. PT. While an Early Bird registration is no longer available, runners and walkers wishing to participate in the event can still choose from multiple options and rates including a $40 Regular Registration. Participants are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity as prices will increase on September 9th, 2022 at 11:59 pm PDT.

This year, a flat, fast and family-friendly 5K (3.1 miles) takes runners on the City of Tukwila’s trails, providing runners with an authentic Sounders FC experience as they run through the Starfire Sports campus, the training headquarters of Seattle Sounders FC. The race ends at the Finish Line Festival presented by Dasani, where runners and spectators alike can enjoy live music, race awards, medals, delicious food, giveaways and more.

All proceeds from the Rave Green Run benefit RAVE Foundation, the official charitable arm of Sounders FC. Through this race, RAVE Foundation embraces its mission to build small fields for free play and to use soccer as a vehicle to inspire youth and strengthen communities while supporting club’s commitment to Defend the Right to Play for youth in communities where access to safe, available play-spaces is scarce.

Fans wishing to take part in the annual 5K, benefiting Rave Foundation, can still register at RaveGreenRun.org. This year participants can choose from multiple options and rates are as follows:

Regular Registration is $40 per participant, and it runs through September 9.

A Late Registration is also available at $45 from September 9 through September 10.

Lastly, fans interested in the race can choose a Race Day Registration on September 11 for $55 per person and until 8:45 a.m. PT. The registration booth will be located near the race start line.

This year, interested fans can choose from two different options, participating in the 5K Run/Walk or becoming a sponsor to a local student in need who would like to run. This entry is for donations only and each contribution supports RAVE’s overall goal to provide healthy, positive experiences that inspire kids in underserved communities.
