CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 18 (TDS) Clemson women’s soccer team travels to No. 17 (USC) West Virginia at the Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown, W. Va. on Thursday, Sept. 8. The match is set to kick off at 7 p.m. and slated to stream on ESPN+.

This marks only the third time that Clemson and West Virginia will meet with the Mountaineers leading the series, 2-0. Most recently West Virginia beat the Tigers at Historic Riggs Field in 2018, 2-1. The Mountaineers have a balanced attack as 10 players have registered at least two points thus far this season. Senior goalkeeper Kayza Massey has a team-high 23 saves and four shutouts to her name.

The Tigers are coming off a 3-0 win against App State on Sunday at Historic Riggs Field, following a near three hour weather delay. Senior Caroline Conti recorded the game-winning goal in the 32nd minute for her third goal of the season. Freshman Maria Manousos impressed once again registering a goal and an assist against the Mountaineers while Sydney Minarik sealed the win with her third goal of the season.

The underclassmen shined against No. 4 South Carolina in Columbia as Manousos registered her first career start and goal while sophomore Minarik picked up her second goal of the season to help give the Tigers the draw.
