Hartford Athletic will be hosting its second annual Hiring Expo at Trinity Health Stadium in Hartford on September 21, 2022, in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Labor. The event is free to attend and participants are encouraged to register online at www.hartfordathletic.com/expo. The Hiring Expo aims to support those who are underemployed, seeking new career opportunities, or directly impacted in their careers by COVID-19 with an emphasis on veterans and diverse candidates.
“Hartford Athletic is thrilled to partner with the Connecticut Department of Labor for a second straight year on this very important initiative,” said CEO Jim Burda. “We saw a great turnout of job seekers last year and are excited to help create even more career opportunities for people who are looking . As an organization, we are not only committed to providing a world-class soccer experience, but also to providing pathways for everyone in our community through our year-round community pillars of support.”
In the 2021 Hiring Expo, Hartford Athletic hosted 40 organizations, and 42% of companies who attended had job seekers complete applications for vacant positions. This year, Hartford Athletic is more than doubling the number of organizations in attendance with 100+ companies who support a diverse workforce and provide opportunities for veterans, people of color, women, and those with disabilities. In conjunction with the event partners, registrants will also be provided educational opportunities for those looking for résumé assistance, interview strategies, and dress for success advice to assist in the process. All participants will also receive one ticket voucher for a future Hartford Athletic match.
Supporting partners of the event include the Connecticut Department of Labor, Connecticut Department of Transportation, Eversource, Enjet Aero, and Citizens Bank.
