Chelsea fans have expressed anger towards manager Thomas Tuchel after the Blues lost 2-1 to Southampton on Tuesday.

Raheem Sterling‘s opening goal was cancelled out by Romeo Lavia before Adam Armstrong’s first goal in nine months put the Saints ahead, and the forward’s strike was enough to secure all three points as Chelsea struggled to create chances whilst chasing the game.

Supporters took to Twitter to criticise Tuchel, who was down before and after the game regarding injuries to his squad and their ability to compete.

One fan criticised Tuchel’s comments after the defeat, posting: ‘Tuchel needs to stop moaning and sort the mess out, looks like he’s losing the players fast.’

Chelsea have spent well over £150million this transfer window and don’t look like slowing down any time soon, with Wesley Fofana set to be announced imminently and the club going in for RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol.

The Blues are however yet to sign a striker after the departure of Romelu Lukaku, and many fans have pointed the blame towards the German.

‘Chelsea are going backwards, no cohesion no pattern, transfer window, still no number 9, Tuchel is in trouble!!’ posted one supporter.

‘Another abysmal pathetic lackluster display, Tuchel full of ridiculous excuses, it’s not just this season but since the new year, home form shocking.’

‘Sign a damn striker!’ added another.

Several others questioned his future at the club, with some even calling for his job to come into question.
