NYRB II Travels to Face Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC at Highmark Stadium

HARRISON, N.J. – New York Red Bulls II (3-18-3, 12 points) will travel to face Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (13-7-4, 43 points) on Saturday, August 20, at Highmark Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET with coverage on ESPN+.


The two sides will meet for the 20th time in their history, which is the most for New York against current USL Championship clubs. Pittsburgh holds an 11-7-1 advantage in the all-time series, and took the earlier meeting this season, 3-0, at MSU Soccer Park on July 1.

Red Bulls II will hit the road for the first time since July 23 following a four match homestand that including a comeback victory over Atlanta United 2 on August 9. The club fell 3-1 to the Charleston Battery in its most recent match on Friday, August 12.

Pittsburgh enters the match with 13 victories on the season and will look to bounce back after falling to Memphis 901 FC, 2-0, on Saturday, August 13, at Highmark Stadium. The defeat snapped a seven-match unbeaten streak and marked the first time they were shutout since June 18. Russell Cicerone leads the team with 11 goals, which is tied for 9th in USL Championship.

New York sits 14th in the Eastern Conference, while Pittsburgh ranks 5th.

Following the match, New York will travel to face Birmingham Legion FC on Sunday, August 28. Kickoff at Protective Stadium is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. ET with coverage available on ESPN+.
