KENNESAW, Ga. – Atlanta United 2 fell 2-0 to Miami FC Saturday night at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

Miami opened the scoring in the eighth minute through Mark Segbers. French midfielder Florian Valot controlled a Romeo Parkes pass and laid off a ball into the path of Segbers, who ran into the box and tucked a finish into right-side netting of Justin Garces’ goal.


Atlanta was reduced to 10 men in the 31st minute, as Noah Cobb was sent off for bringing down Romeo Parkes as the last man.

After assisting the first goal, Valot scored one of his own in stoppage time. Adonijah Reid drove at the Atlanta defense on a two-on-one opportunity before squaring a pass for the Frenchman to curl around Garces.

ATL UTD 2 (4-19-4, 16 points) travels to Segra Field in Leesburg, Virginia to take on Loudoun United on Saturday, Aug. 20 (7:30 p.m., ESPN+).
