Buckeyes Return a Talented Front Line – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State returns its starting forward line from last season and what a talented line it is. Senior Kayla Fischer is a two-time All-Big Ten honoree. She enters the season sixth in program history with 239 career shots and her 20 goals and 17 assists both rank in the Top 15 in on the OSU career charts.

Fellow senior Emma Sears has 13 career goals, including a hat trick each of the last two seasons. She earned second team All-Big Ten accolades as a sophomore in the spring of 2021. Kailyn Dudukovich had a standout freshman campaign last season, leading the team with seven goals and finishing with 17 points. She earned third team All-Big Ten honors and was a member of the All-Freshman Team a season ago.

The trio of Fischer, Sears and Dudukovich were the top three scorers on the team and took over 57 percent of the team’s shots in 2021. They could be one of the top front lines in the Big Ten this season.

Up front, the Buckeyes also return junior Chloe DeLyser who stepped into a bigger role last year as a sophomore. She scored the first two goals of her career, including a huge goal in the 2-1 win over rival Michigan last October. Sophomore Tatum Adamson saw action in six contest last year as a true freshman and Sydney Browning is looking to step in as she returns healthy after redshirting last season.

The Buckeyes will also look upon a pair of talented freshmen up front in Coley Sidloski and Dakota Lyons. Sidloski was a national finalist with Cleveland FC and she also led Strongsville to a state title in 2020. Lyons helped lead Eclipse Select to an ECNL 2021 National Championship and she was also a state qualifier on the track, finishing fifth in the 400-meter run.
