PORTLAND, Ore. – Timbers2 dropped a 2-1 result against Earthquakes II on Friday afternoon at Providence Park. Blake Bodily notched the lone goal for Portland in stoppage time, scoring his fourth goal of the season, while Justin Rasmussen registered his first assist for T2. Up next, T2 will travel to Minnesota to face MNUFC 2 on Sunday, July 31 at National Sports Center Stadium.
Goal-Scoring Plays
SJ – Cruz Medina (Rodolfo Castro), 68th minute: On a quick turnover, Rodolfo Castro dribbled and slipped the ball through Portland’s defensive line and to Cruz Medina, who shot a right-footed ball into the middle of the goal to open the scoring.
SJ – Rodolfo Castro (Omar Lemus), 84th minute: Omar Lemus dribbled through the right wing and into the top of the six-yard box before sending the ball to Rodolfo Castro near the penalty kick spot, who on the first touch fired a right-footed ball into the back of the net.
POR – Blake Bodily (Justin Rasmussen), 90+2 minute: Standing in the box, Justin Rassmussen controlled a pass from the right wing, cutting and sending the ball to the middle of the six-yard box. Blake Bodily positioned himself near the left post and scored a left-footed goal.
