Inter Miami went down 0-2 before goals by versatile midfielder Robert Taylor, forward Gonzalo Higuaín and winger Emerson Rodríguez turned the proceedings around for the team to claim all three points with a 3-2 home victory. Taylor’s goal was his third this campaign and Rodríguez’s late winner was the first in his MLS career.

Higuaín and captain Gregore earned MLS Team of the Week honors for week 21 of the season after their influential performances against Charlotte. Higuaín scored the team’s second goal in the match to take his season tally to four, while Gregore recorded two assists, raising his overall record in 2022 to three.
