Barcelona ‘reach full agreement’ for Raphinha as Leeds accept €67m package ahead of five-year deal

Barcelona have reportedly reached a ‘full agreement’ over the transfer of Raphinha after Leeds accepted a bid worth €67m.

It had been reported that Barcelona might struggle to be able to afford Leeds’ asking price due to the financial pressure on the club with Chelsea and Arsenal also interested in the Brazilian.

Chelsea have already reportedly had a bid accepted for Raphinha but the winger’s preference to join Barcelona has already seen the Blues move on to other targets.

And now following a lot of rumours, U-turns and speculation, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Tuesday that Barcelona ‘have finally submitted the official bid for Raphinha’ that should see the Brazilian end up at the Camp Nou.

And now Romano has revealed that a bid of €58m plus a further €9m in add-ons has been accepted by Leeds.

Romano added that Raphinha has only had eyes for Barcelona since February and that he’s set to sign a five-year deal with the Catalan giants.

Leeds have already signed Raphinha’s replacement after Colombia winger Luis Sinisterra joined from Feyenoord in a deal worth a reported £21.4m.

That deal, which was completed last week, took Leeds’ spending to over £90m this summer with Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca, Darko Gyabi and Tyler Adams all joining.

And Leeds boss Jesse Marsch already likes what he has seen of Sinisterra in training.

He said: “I think he’s a powerful, fast explosive player that’s also intelligent, that can play football, but that can also really play intensively.

“Within 48 hours with him we had a lot of little video sessions and little conversations and you could see quickly that he’s fit well within the group.
