Arsenal offers £34m for shock midfield target; Serie A star ‘on Man Utd list’

Arsenal target Ismael Bennacer is held aloft by fans

Arsenal have made an offer for one of their former midfielders, while Manchester United continue to look at Cristiano Ronaldo replacements…

GUNNERS WANT THEIR FORMER MIDFIELDER
Premier League side Arsenal are preparing an offer for AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer this summer, according to reports.

The Algeria international, who came through the youth ranks in north London, made one senior appearance for the Gunners before leaving to join Empoli in 2017. His game has gone from strength to strength since then with Bennacer now a regular for Milan, making 105 appearances in his three seasons at the Serie A giants.

And now Arseanl want him back this summer as they search for another midfielder to add to their squad with some reports linking them heavily to Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans. The Gunners have already brought in Fabio Vieira from Porto to strengthen that area but Arteta still wants more.

The 37-year-old is United’s only recognised centre-forward available with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial playing mainly in wider roles for the Red Devils.

Dybala left Juventus on the expiry of his contract last week and there are a number of clubs interested in his services with Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio insisting Man Utd are one of those sides.

Di Marzio told Wettfreunde: “Inter pulled out, AC Milan and Roma are on the list, but will enter the race only if…
