Memphis, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC will look to notch their third consecutive victory and maintain the top spot in the eastern conference in Saturday’s match against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

901 fc went 2-0 last week with home victories over FC Tulsa and Detroit City FC. Memphis is currently tied for 3rd in the league in conversion rate at 19% and tied 3rd in goals scored at 32.


901 fc took the 3-1 victory over Tampa bay in their match earlier this season at autozone park as phillip goodrum scored the fastest goal in club history, hitting the back of the net in the first minute.

Tampa Bay currently sits at third in the eastern conference standings, five points behind Memphis and has not lost a match since their April 30 loss to San Diego Loyal SC.

901 fc picked up their seventh home win after defeating Detroit City last Saturday outshooting Detroit 20-7 and dominating possession on their way to securing six points in four days.

Memphis saw their first goal in the 38th minute. Molloy sent a cross off of a set piece just outside the box that Graham Smith headered in for his second goal of the season and of the week, and Aaron Molloy’s fourth assist.

Memphis doubled the lead in the 89th minute as Goodrum found the back of the net off a through ball from Derek Dodson. Goodrum is currently tied for third in the USL Championship with nine goals scored this season.

Smith was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week after his performance in the matches against Tulsa and Detroit City. Molloy earned an honorable mention. Trey Muse was nominated for the save of the week after a full body stretch dive saved 901 FC’s clean sheet against Tulsa.

901 FC has gone 10-0-1 when scoring first and has scored 19 of their 32 goals in the first half.

Memphis 901 FC moved to 11-3-2 on the season with the win.
