VANCOUVER – The New England Revolution (6-5-5; 23 pts.) are in British Columbia to visit Vancouver Whitecaps FC (6-8-2; 20 pts.) on Sunday night. The interconference match at BC Place kicks off at 8:00 p.m. ET on WSBK-TV38 and myRITV (Rhode Island), with Brad Feldman and Charlie Davies calling the action. Sunday’s match also airs locally on the radio via 98.5 The Sports Hub and 1260 AM Nossa Radio in Portuguese.

New England extended its unbeaten streak to eight matches with a seven-point week from June 12 to June 19, culminating in a 2-1 home win over Minnesota United FC last Sunday. Dylan Borrero opened his MLS account on Carles Gil’s eighth assist of the campaign, which is tied for the league lead. Gustavo Bou remains in top form as he netted the game-winning goal with a stunning free kick in the 69th minute, which helped earn him MLSsoccer.com Team of the Week honors. The Argentinian has reached the scoresheet in four consecutive matches, with three goals and one assist. As a team, New England leads the league with 11 multi-goal games as MLS approaches the season’s midway point.

New England leads the all-time series against Vancouver, 5-2-3, including a 3-0-1 mark over the last four meetings. Sunday’s match is the Revolution’s first contest against the Whitecaps since July 17, 2019, when New England collected a 4-0 clean-sheet victory in Bou’s MLS debut. The Revolution have won their last two road matches, while Vancouver carries a 4-1-2 record at home. The Whitecaps, winners of three of their last four games, registered a 2-0 clean-sheet victory over FC Dallas in their most recent match last Saturday.

In addition to Borrero, fellow newcomer Djordje Petrović has also transitioned into the starting lineup to immediate success. The 22-year-old is 2-0-1 through his first three starts, including a five-save performance on Sunday against Minnesota. As Petrović adjusts to Major League Soccer, he has been aided by veteran leadership along the Revs’ backline. A.J. DeLaGarza and Andrew Farrell, who collectively own more than 550 league appearances, both started in the Revolution’s victory over Minnesota, along with fourth-year pro DeJuan Jones, who turned 25 on Friday, and second-year defender Jon Bell.
