€30m West Ham man could depart after one season

West Ham attacker Nikola Vlasic could leave the Premier League club after one season in east London, according to reports.

The Hammers spent £27million on the Croatian in August 2021 but he failed to impress last season.

Neville anger over Manchester United transfer policy shows this remains an unhappy club

Vlasic previously played for Everton before joining CSKA Moscow on loan in 2018 and on a permanent basis for around £20m a year later.

The 24-year-old played 36 times across all competitions – only making 16 starts – and scored one goal in a disappointing 2021/22 campaign.

His only goal of the season came in a five-minute cameo against Watford in December, with David Moyes’ side winning 4-1 at Vicarage Road.

According to Dalmatinski (via Sport Witness), Vlasic’s former club, Hadjuk Split, want to re-sign the Croatia international.

His poor debut season for West Ham has sparked rumours of an exit, and alongside Hadjuk, Serie A outfit Torino are interested.

Hadjuk are reportedly keen on signing their former player on loan, who could potentially be ‘ruled out’ of the running due to their financial limitations in comparison to other interested parties.

It is believed that Torino are Vlasic’s ‘most promising option’ and also his ‘most likely’ landing spot for next season.

Hadjuk, however, ‘remain confident’ they can strike a loan deal with the Premier League club.

Meanwhile, West Ham manager Moyes and Declan Rice have both received UEFA bans for unsporting conduct and abusing a referee respectively, European football’s governing body has announced.

Moyes has been suspended for one UEFA match after being shown a straight red card by Spanish referee Jesus Gil Manzano for booting a ball at a ball boy during the second leg of last month’s Europa League semi-final defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.

England midfielder Rice has been banned for two matches for directing abusive language against a match official after the Hammers’ 1-0 loss in Frankfurt had sealed the Bundesliga side’s 3-1 aggregate win.
