Arsenal will face a challenge to keep hold of Gabriel Martinelli this summer as Juventus prepare a swap deal with Arthur Melo for the Brazilian, according to reports in Italy. 

The 20-year-old has impressed this season after establishing himself as a key member of Mikel Arteta’s side. 

The winger’s displays for the Gunners have attracted interest with Juventus said to be prepared to launch a bid this summer.

The Serie A side believe they can tempt Arsenal into letting Martinelli go if they offer Arthur in exchange, according to Calciomercato. 

Arteta was believed to be interested in Arthur in January and the Gunners attempted to bring him to the Emirates before talks broke down. 

Arsenal were reportedly concerned about signing the 25-year-old on an 18-month loan and were angling for a similar deal to the one they brought Martin Odegaard in on loan before signing him on a permanent deal.
