Orlando City B Takes the Shootout in Scoreless Stalemate against New England Revolution II

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Orlando City B (2-4-2, 10 points) suffered its first defeat at Osceola County Stadium on Sunday night, falling 5-3 against visiting FC Cincinnati 2 (2-7-0, 6 points). In a back-and-forth match, the Lions came out strong, striking first in the 14th minute, however would be unable to hold onto the lead as the visitors pulled away late in the second half.

Jack Lynn led the Lions on the night, scoring two goals to push into the league-lead in the category, now with seven on the year. Moises Tablante earned a goal and an assist on the evening, scoring the team’s opener before assisting on Lynn’s first.

Orlando City B Head Coach Martín Perelman:

“It’s difficult to analyze now, I think we started the game properly but we couldn’t defend well. So we lost control of the game. We missed opportunities and [Cincinnati] scored theirs so we couldn’t return to the game…We need to keep working, this is a process with young players so instability with them is normal. We need to fight against that and try to help them in growing and developing and becoming more professional so they can control the games better.”

David Boccuzzo picked up the ball off a bad touch by Cincinnati, sending it to Moises Tablante who struck from deep to find the back of the net.

23′ Nick Markanich (Zico Bailey) – OCB 1, CIN 1

The visitors leveled things when Zico Bailey cut inside with the ball before centering it to Nick Markanich at the top of the 18 who took it off the first touch into the top corner.

24′ Jack Lynn (Moises Tablante) – OCB 2, CIN 1

OCB jumped back ahead just a minute later after Moises Tablante won control of a poor back pass by the Cincinnati defense. He found Jack Lynn in space who struck it home past an outstretched Paul Walters.

43′ Nick Markanich (Joshua Head) – OCB 2, CIN 2

Markanich scored his second after Joshua Head flicked…
