Rangnick backs Ten Hag to put stamp on Man Utd squad as timeline for talks set

Incoming Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag

Ralf Rangnick has revealed that his talks with incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will only commence after the conclusion of the current season.

Ten Hag has the task of succeeding Ralf Rangnick in the Manchester United dugout this summer. Rangnick has been seeing out the season on an interim basis before a permanent appointment. The club recently confirmed Ten Hag will take the reins.

Rangnick told a press conference: “We will definitely speak at the end of the season.

“We have agreed we will have a chat and speak about everything at the end of the season.”

Ajax are currently four points clear of PSV at the top of the Eredivisie with four games to go. Ten Hag won the title with them last season and is hoping to retain it to go out on a high note there.

Rangnick said: “In regard to next season, there will be some changes with quite a few players’ contracts expiring.
