Transfer gossip: Liverpool hold talks over £59m midfielder deal as star breaks silence over move; Leeds to get fleeced over Raphinha exit

Liverpool are in talks over a deal for Aurelien Tchouameni, with the star openly discussing his future, Leeds are fearful of losing Raphinha on the cheap, and Thursday’s Paper Talk names four clubs Jesse Lingard could sign for.

AURELIEN TCHOUAMENI OPENS UP ON LIVERPOOL LINKS

Liverpool have reportedly opened talks over a deal to sign Aurelien Tchouameni this summer.

The Reds are seemingly making plans for the summer, despite standing on the brink of a record-breaking season. With the Carabao Cup in the bag, they are pushing hard for Premier League glory. They also face Chelsea in the FA Cup final and Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

And talismanic forward Mohamed Salah certainly has revenge in mind when it comes to the latter.

Jurgen Klopp, however, will know that no successful team ever stands still and is always looking to better themselves.

With that in mind, the Daily Express claims the Reds are in talks with Monaco over a deal for Tchouameni.

The 22-year-old midfielder is regarded as one of French football’s brightest young stars, drawing comparisons with Paul Pogba.

And given Jordan Henderson and Thiago, both 31, and James Milner, 36, are now in the autumn of their careers, it’s little wonder to see Liverpool planning new additions there.

Any deal for Tchouameni will not come cheap, however.

While Monaco are willing to sell, they are reportedly seeking a fee of around £59m. Real Madrid and Manchester United are also seemingly keen.

However, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has talked up Liverpool’s interest.

The midfielder himself has also opened up about his future.

Contracted to 2024, the midfielder does appear content where he is for the time being.
