CHICAGO – After a thrilling pair of semifinal round games, the championship match of the 2022 NWSL Challenge Cup has been set. The No. 3 seed North Carolina Courage will host the fourth-seeded Washington Spirit Saturday, May 7 at WakeMed Soccer Park.

The championship match will air live on The CBS Television Network at 1 p.m. ET. Additionally, fans can stream the game domestically on Paramount+ and internationally on Twitch. Canadian viewers can stream the match in French on Radio-Canada.

The 2022 NWSL Challenge Cup final marks North Carolina’s fourth appearance in a championship event in the NWSL, while Washington is set to appear in its third title match.

Ten rounds of penalty kicks decided the second semifinal between OL Reign and Washington, highlighted by Spirit goaltender Aubrey Kingsbury’s conversion from the penalty spot and a key stop on a shot from Reign midfielder Jess Fishlock.
